Our Conflict of Interest Statement
Capable Life provides more than one type of NDIS support, including support coordination and capacity building (life skills coaching). We may offer positive behaviour support in the future. When one organisation provides support coordination and other supports to the same person, there is a potential conflict of interest. This page explains how we manage it.
Our commitments to you
- Your choice comes first. You choose your providers. Using our support coordination never requires you to use our other services, and using our other services never requires you to use our support coordination.
- We always show you options. When you need a new support, your support coordinator will give you information about other providers, not just Capable Life, and record the options you were given and the choice you made.
- We tell you upfront. If we suggest one of our own services, we will tell you clearly that it is provided by Capable Life.
- Separate agreements. Each service we provide has its own service agreement, so you can stop one without affecting the other.
- No targets or incentives. Our staff are not rewarded for referring people to Capable Life services.
- Independent help is available. You can involve a family member, friend or independent advocate in any decision.
